Cascade Fondo

Next up is the Cascade Fondo on Sunday, July 2nd. We are excited to explore this route now that the snow has finally melted. This ride will be a fondo format, which means a self-paced, supported ride with mapped and marked routes, cue sheets, nutrition/mechanical support, and a sag wagon. We are sending  this update out a little earlier so you can plan to join us the night before for a campout (see below).

Ride begins with coffee at Birdsview Brewing Company on Highway 20 at 8:00am and ends back at the brewery for dinner and a beer. As with all of our rides, space is limited - register now!

Route Description
The Birdsview Brewing Company is found on Highway 20 seven miles west of Concrete, WA. The ride will be leaving the brewery along the Cascade Trail and continuing into the foothills south of Concrete. The ride is 68 miles and includes 4,800 feet of climbing (see elevation profile below). We will be riding 40 miles on gravel and 28 miles on pavement.

*Note: A GPS route and cue sheet will be provided to registered riders the Friday before the ride.

We are staying on the banks of the Skagit River at Rasar State Park the Saturday night before the ride and probably Sunday night as well. The brewery and start of the ride are just around the corner. Drive down the night before and join us for a campfire.
